On Thursday July 7, 2011, Farmer Brothers Co. rang the NASDAQ Stock Market Opening Bell in New York City's Times Square in honor of the Company's 100th anniversary.
Celebration of the Bell Ringing
Interim Co-CEOs Jeffrey Wahba and Patrick Criteser, Chairman of the Board Guenter Berger, members of the Company's management team, along with Farmer family members Jeanne Farmer Grossman, Carol Farmer Waite, and Jonathan Waite, were on hand to celebrate the event that kicked off Farmer Brothers' 100th anniversary.
Farmer Brothers is also celebrating its 40th anniversary as an inaugural member of the NASDAQ stock exchange.
Interim Co-CEO Jeffrey Wahba thanked NASDAQ for its support over the last forty years and said, "We place great value in our NASDAQ listing and are proud to be one of the inaugural members of NASDAQ." Interim Co-CEO Patrick Criteser said, "We thank our various constituencies for the success they have brought us, our employees for the dedication and passion they bring to their jobs, our customers for their loyalty and partnership and our investors for believing in our business model."
Times Square New York Mr. Criteser added, "Our ability to produce some of the best coffees in the world along with a variety of other products such as teas, spices, sauces and mixes would certainly make our founders proud."
